The Promise of a Letter – Hook, Line, and Sinker!

Get your favorite beverage and snack and be ready! Ready for what? The solar eclipse of 2017 is gone. What do we look forward to now? Why it’s Kathleen Fuller’s latest in her Amish Letters series, The Promise of a Letter! And believe me, you’ll need a snack for sustenance as you flip pages into the night. It is THAT good!

The Promise of a Letter follows Leanna Chupp. Leanna is different in so many ways: She speaks her mind, she’s tall (six feet!), AND she’s a mechanic! What?! Yes, a female Amish mechanic! She basks in being single and is ready for a life full of meaning…and she doesn’t need a man for that.

Then there’s Roman Raber. He’s a professional fence-jumper…in the Amish sense of the term. He’s in the English world, but receives a letter that is life-altering. When he visits his brother (and Leanna’s boss), there is something there. They knew each other, briefly, when he was part of the Birch Creek church….and skipped out of town. He can’t be trusted…can he? Read and find out!

I was given The Promise of a Letter in exchange for my honest review. What a tremendous read! While the character from the first book (Written in Love) are mentioned, it can easily be read as a stand-alone. But reading in chronological order will create more depth to the Promise of a Letter characters. Fuller had me hook, line, and sinker in the first chapter. The storylines were intriguing and honest. One heart-wrenching storyline is spot-on, I can attest. This is a definite must-read – grab your copy today!

Susan Ferrell and her husband make their home in the Atlanta Metro area. Although Susan struggles with chronic migraine headaches, she stays very busy as a stay-at-home mom to one very precocious little girl. While catching her breath, she feeds her Amishaholic tendencies by reading vast amounts of Amish literature!
