I am feeling in the Christmas mood so I decided to share A Plain and Simple Christmas by Amy Clipston. This book follows Anna Mae McDonough who was shunned by her Amish family. Anna Mae left the church and married Kellan McDonough who is English. She is expecting her first child and desperately wants to reconcile with her family. Kellan encourages her to reach out to her sister-in-law Kathryn, whom she was always close with. Against her husband’s wishes, Kathryn helps plan a surprise visit for Anna Mae and Kellan. Hoping for a Christmas miracle, Kathryn is convinced once the family sees Anna Mae they will welcome her back with open arms. This book is inspiring and uplifting. I found myself tearing up several times! If you enjoy a good Christmas story this book is for you. Happy reading!
