I’m Amanda Flower, an author of Amish fiction and mysteries, and I’m so glad to be visiting Destination Amish today. This is my first official post for Destination Amish as part of the regular blogging team, but I am no stranger to the site. My novels have been reviewed here many times, and I have shared some guest posts. However, I am excited to be listed with the great group of regular contributors. For those of you who may not know me or my books, I thought I would introduce myself.
I write quirky traditional mysteries for both children and adults. Some of them are about Amish characters and some are about non-Amish characters. I write under my real name, Amanda Flower, and under the pen name, Isabella Alan. I think I juggle my two writing personas okay… at least on most days. Yes, “Amanda Flower” is the name on my birth certificate. I get asked if Amanda or Isabella is my real name a lot because my real name seems too good to be true for an author’s name. I agree! Maybe my parents had an inkling…
In addition to being an author, I’m a fulltime college librarian for a very small school in Cleveland, Ohio. Since it is such a small school I do a variety of things from cataloging books to teaching classes to helping students with their research. I like the variety. I have a pretty short attention span, so I always like to be doing new things. This is why being a writer suits me. There is always a new story to tell or book to write. Sometimes I have to remind myself, I have to finish the book in front of me before jumping into the next one… which reminds me I have a book due soon…I had better go write…

Glad to hear from you Amanda. Love mysteries. I have four of your books down loaded to my Kindle fire. Haven’t read them yet. Will definitely get to them. For the moment I have a full schedule for my reading this month. I’m an influencer for two different writers for their next release which I’m working on right now. But reading is my best past time. I love all the writers that Michelle has introduced to us. I’ve followed this blog site since last summer. Look forward to hearing from you again soon.

Nice to meet you and I only live about 1 hr from Cleveland to the East.. Love reading Books about the Amish.. I think I have read at least one of your Books if one of the local libraries have it… I might just request one… :D..
