Plain Again by Sarah Price

Plain-Again_2

I had the privilege to read an advanced copy of Plain Again by Sarah Price and I quite possibly have never been more excited to read a book as I was for this one. I have no qualms by picking favorites among all the books that I am blessed to review because when a book is as good as this one, well I think it’s my duty to tell as many readers as I can. The characters seem to have taken on a life of their own among Amish fiction fans. I suspect we all feel a connection with Amanda and Alejandro due in part to Sarah’s ability to fashion one heck of a tale and wanting to immerse ourselves in a truly epic love story. The love between these two characters is grand and somewhat intoxicating. Yes…that’s a great word to describe this book…intoxicating!

The newlyweds love is put to the test when Amanda returns to her family’s farm to care for her ailing father while “Viper” hits the road to do what he does best; perform for millions of adoring fans. We all know how Mr. Viper is the road but now that he is a married man he can safely put that part of his life behind him. Or can he? The fans, media, and even his manager want the old Viper…does he give them want they want or stay true to his heart…true to his Amanda?

Readers beware….you will be distracted by this book. Go ahead leave your dishes pile up for one day and dinner will just have to wait. That’s why there’s a thing called take-out. It’s for when readers are so overcome with a book that everything is put on hold or so we tell ourselves that! My advice is to savor each moment reading and delight in the fact that we once again are able to be carried away by the wonderful writing talent of Sarah Price.
