The wait is over for Vannetta Chapman’s third novel in The Pebble Creek Amish Series! A Wedding for Julia will keep you rapt with attention to the very last page.
A Wedding for Julia tells the story of Julia, a single Amish woman who cares for her newly-widowed, scripture-quoting mom, Ada, Caleb, an Amish bachelor who has moved to the Pebble Creek area for a change of scenery, and Caleb’s cousin, Sharon, who comes to Cashton with a secret or two. Julie has always dreamed of opening her own café, but it looks as though her mom and dad had other plans for her – and NOT in Pebble Creek!
I was disappointed that the characters from Book One (A Promise for Miriam) and Book Two (A Home for Lydia) were not more evident in Book Three. HOWEVER, in the long run, the secondary characters fall away as Julia and Caleb’s story move along at a gripping pace. Therefore, I believe it is possible to read this book as a stand alone but who’d want to miss out on Book One and Two?
I was given this book in exchange for my honest review. A Wedding for Julia is a must-read for any Vannetta Chapman fan. Okay, we’re ready for Chapman’s NEXT Amish series!
Susan Ferrell and her husband make their home in the Atlanta Metro area. Although Susan struggles with chronic migraine headaches, she stays very busy as a stay-at-home mom to one very precocious 5-year old.
