Murder, Plain and Simple-Review and Giveaway

murder plain and simpleWhen Angela Braddock, a cowboy boot wearing gal, strolls into the town of Rolling Brook, Ohio to run her late aunts quilt shop, it doesn’t sit well with a local Amish man named Joseph Walker. Mr. grumpy pants, as I named him, thinks he is the rightful owner of the quilt shop and he isn’t shy about saying so. In fact, he says he has the deed to prove it. When Joseph is found murdered in the back room of the shop all signs point to Angela. What’s a girl to do when accused of such a heinous crime? Put her amateur sleuthing skills to the test and find the real murderer before it’s too late.
I loved reading Murder, Plain and Simple by Isabella Alan aka Amanda Flower. It is clever and witty with entertaining characters. One particular little critter who I think steals the show is Oliver, a French bulldog. Talk about a character! Poor thing is afraid of birds. That’s right. Afraid of birds. Like I said, this book is clever. Although the title may suggest a serious kind of book, I found myself chuckling a lot which made me enjoy my reading time even more. I guarantee you will enjoy your time in Rolling Brook playing detective…will you be able to figure out the mystery behind Murder, Plain and Simple?

quilt shop-sugarcreekThe author did a lot of her research for her book at Swiss Village Quilts and Crafts located in Sugarcreek, Ohio. If you get the chance you must stop by this little shop. It’s truly a great place to visit. Now if I could only learn to quilt. Actually I would even settle for learning to sew!

Isabella is graciously giving away a copy of Murder, Plain and Simple to one lucky reader. Nice!
