I have a feeling I will be attempting many more of these wonderful desserts:) The magic in this dessert is how easy it is to prepare and the reward is so yummy!
Magic Cobbler
½ cup butter
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
¾ cup milk
2 cups fruit (peaches, apples,blueberries,blackberries,etc)
2 cups sugar divided
1 cup flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In an 8 by 11 inch pan melt the butter. In a mixing bowl, combine milk, 1 cup of sugar, flour, and baking powder. Pour over melted butter but do not stir. Spread fruit in top and sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of sugar. Again, do not stir. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until fruit is soft.
