A Lancaster County Christmas is a delightful book centered around two very different couples who are both searching for answers. Solomon and Mattie Riehl are desperate for more children. Mattie has suffered a miscarriage that has her left her feeling empty and depressed. They long to add more children to their family, a sibling for six year old Danny. Solomon loves his wife dearly and wants her to be happy. Jamie and C.J. Fitzpatrick are at crossroads in their marriage. Jamie is restless and wants to move onto bigger and better things with her photography. C.J. has felt them drifting apart since the sudden death of Jamie’s mother. Jamie is convinced their marriage is over along with her faith. When these two couple’s paths cross during a winter storm their lives are changed forever. I enjoyed this book so much! I loved hearing more from Sol and Mattie’s story. If you are a fan of Suzanne Woods Fisher, this couple is from her book The Choice. This book is the perfect Christmastime read. Enjoy!
