We all have things that make us thankful. It could be something little like a fading sunset brilliantly coloring the evening sky or something bigger like being saved from death by the one you love. Christina Kempf will always be thankful that Aden Reese was there on that fateful day she plunged under icy waters. Even though Christina‘s family thinks of Aden as their son, she knows he is something more; he is her heart. Aden saved her life and not just some run-of-the-mill kind of saving. He literally pulled Christina back from the brink of death. When Aden sprang into action, their life was never quite the same again. Yes, something changed between them the day he saved Christina. They secretly love each other and this event only solidifies that love. As the years pass both struggle to understand their feelings especially Aden, who feels as though he is betraying his surrogate family if he admits his love for Christina.
After a few blissful moments filled with stolen kisses, our main characters become even more uncertain of their future than ever before…where will their hearts lead them? It has been said that home is where the heart is and Christina most certainly feels at home in Aden’s arms….now if only she can convince him…
Thankful is a gentle love story that will leave readers thankful for the chance to return to Sugarcreek and meet charming characters who will once again leave a lasting impression.
