It’s fall time in Amish country. My absolute favorite time of year is fall. Pumpkin cookies, pumpkin donuts, pumpkin pie… oh my…pumpkin flavored everything! I love sitting outside on cool nights listening to the buggies clip clopping down the road. If you are planning to visit Amish country I recommend coming in the fall because when the trees are fully changed it really is something to see. Plus weather wise it’s just right…not to hot not to cold!
Be sure to stop into one of the many bakeries and order up a something yummy like a pumpkin cream stick slathered with cream cheese frosting or an apple dumpling topped with homemade vanilla ice cream. Yes, I do enjoy my surroundings….maybe a little too much!
