I just finished reading Love Finds You In Lancaster County Pennsylvania by Annalisa Daughety.This book follows Amish-born Lydia Ann Raber and Englisher Caroline Demarco who forge an unlikely friendship when they meet in Lancaster County. Lydia Ann is a character from this author’s previous book Love Finds You In Charm, Ohio. You do not have to read this book first, although I recommend it because it is an excellent read! Lydia Ann is a mother of two little twin girls and has suffered great loss. She lost her husband to cancer six years earlier and also her mother died in a tragic accident. Her father remarried and moved from Charm to Lancaster County. After a tornado destroys her quilt shop she decides with the help of her two best cousins Emma and Abby, to take the girls and go visit her Dad.
Meanwhile Caroline Demarco also heads to Lancaster County in need of a place to hide out from a terrible scandal that shattered her life. When these two meet and decide to run a book store together they become close and create a real friendship, one that up until then, Caroline had never had. Lydia Ann meets Simon Zook and they strike up a friendship. She decides it may just be the right time for a second chance at love which she never thought she would have. Caroline also opens her heart to new beginnings with reporter Michael Landis. This book is a real page turner. It has something for everyone suspense, romance, and even a scandal! I think that the main feeling of this book is no matter what you can have a second chance at life. This is such a great book! Happy Reading!
