Amish Christmas at North Star – Encore!
Amish…Christmas…Cindy Woodsmall. Bring.it.on. I’ve read everything Woodsmall has written, so even if a pamphlet was being released this Christmas by her, I’d be reading it. Then, whoa! I receive this jewel called Amish Christmas at North Star and it includes four novellas – one by Woodsmall…then get this: One by Mindy Starns Clark and Cindy Clark, one by Amanda Flowers, and one by Katie Ganshert. Count me in!
Amish Christmas at North Star is tied together by the delivery of four babies one cold wintry evening by an Amish midwife over two decades ago.
Katie Gandshert’s Guiding Star follows Chase Wellington, an Englisher who tracks down an Amish baby that disappeared after being born at the Amish clinic that cold night.
Amanda Flower’s Mourning Star follows Eden Hochstetler – day dreamer and romance-lover – that works at her parent’s fudge shop. When one of her favorite customers unexpectedly dies, she and her English friend start their amateur sleuthing. Along the way, they uncover a list of suspects, including one who also becomes a possible love interest.
Cindy Woodsmall’s In the Stars follows Kore Detweiler and one of the bopplis born 20 years earlier – Savilla. Savilla and Kore seemed destined for one another – until Savilla breaks Kore’s heart. But when Kore’s grandmother faces unexpected trials that require the two of them to work together, can they find their way back to one another? And at what cost?
Mindy Starns Clark and Emily Clark’s Star of Grace follows Andy Danner. Andy has left North Star – to get away from the woman he loves. But his little brother Sam has other plans – he’s going to earn the money necessary to bring his big brother home once and for all. But things aren’t always as easy as they seem – especially with a crotchety Englisher to work for…and especially when tragedy strikes.
I was given Amish Christmas at North Star in exchange for my honest review. It was fabulous. I have read previous works by all of the authors except for Ganshert, and they have always delivered. I can now add Katie Ganshert to my list of great authors. This collection of novellas is a must-read for every Amish fiction fan this Christmas. It will be one to keep for years to come. My only critique is that I didn’t want the stories to end – they were that good! Instead, I wanted to shout, “Encore!”
Susan Ferrell and her husband make their home in the Atlanta Metro area. Although Susan struggles with chronic migraine headaches, she stays very busy as a stay-at-home mom to one very precocious little girl. While catching her breath, she feeds her Amishaholic tendencies by reading vast amounts of Amish literature!

I tried to purchase this book as an ebook from Christianbook but could not as it is not available for Australia. Very disappointed.
