A Marriage of the Heart by Kelly Long

Three previously released novellas by Kelly Long are wrapped up nicely in one book for easy reading consumption. We get to enjoy A Perfect Secret, Christmas Cradles, and A Marriage of the Heart, the latter being my favorite. I rather like reading novellas, which are short, sweet and just enough to satisfy your requirements for a cozy good time. The stories are original with characters that will immediately draw you in and steal your heart. Kelly writes in way that makes you feel connected with each character’s emotions. As a reader you are pulled into their struggles with love, self-acceptance and generally life as we know it. While reading this book one thing I noticed is that Kelly writes with romantic flair. She creates moments of romance without overdoing it and captures the character’s intense feelings beautifully. I think the cover of the book represents each story to some extent because the couple looks to be lost and as you will find out as you read, each couple in the book seems to be lost….each one searching for something or someone. Overall, if you have not read these novellas before you will be pleasantly surprised and equally delighted with each page. Plus, as an added bonus, there are some tasty recipes in the back of the book…..can’t go wrong with a good cookie recipe!

This book was provided to me from BookSneeze as part of their blogger program for review purposes.
